ASSAM: PETROL PRICE HITS 100 IN 10 DISTRICTS OF THE STATE

  The Petrol Prices in several districts of Assam hit a century on Thursday aftera consecutive hikes in prices for 3-days. 10-Districts of Assam have crossed the 100-mark in the prices of Petroleum.




10-Districts namely -

Biswanath: 100.09/Lt.

Dhemaji: 100.01/Lt.

Karimganj: 100.12/Lt.

Lakhimpur: 101.24/Lt.

Majuli: 101.28/Lt.

Sibsagar: 100.15/Lt.

Udalguri: 100.21/Lt.

West Karbi Anglong: 100.22/Lt 

Guwahati currently records 99.15 for a litre of Petroleum, soon expected to cross the Rs.100 mark.


Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri blamed the State Governments for the rise of Petrol prices because states didn't bring prices of Fuel under GST. (PTI) 


The Central Government has not made any comments regarding the consecutive rise in Petrol Prices for over years now, despite their rigorous criticism of the Congress Government before 2014.


Note: State-run oil refiners such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise the fuel rates daily, by taking into account the crude oil prices in international markets, and the rupee-dollar exchange rates. Any changes in petrol and diesel prices are implemented with effect from 6:00 AM every day.
